Once the magnificent ancient seat of Dukes and Earls, Blair Castle is also home to the Atholl Highlanders, Europe's only remaining private army. The breath-taking historic 18th century landscape which features a magnificent nine-acre walled garden recently restored to its original Georgian design, a peaceful wooded grove, a ruined Celtic kirk, a red deer park and a whimsical gothic folly make it a spectacular wedding venue.

If you have always longed for a fairytale wedding, this is the perfect place to get married. Your guests will be wowed by the colourful peacocks that roam the grounds, native red squirrels that can often be spotted in the trees and Highland cattle grazing in the lush green fields nearby.

Say "I do" in breathtaking surroundings coloured with a rich history. and only an hour and a half drive from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness. Blair Castle is a perfect way to get acquainted with the Scottish landscape. This wedding castle offers a number of venue options.

Library: A formal setting for small civil or religious wedding ceremonies. Groups of up to 40 guests can gather in this intimate atmosphere which is available throughout the year from 10 am onwards.

State Dining Room: Located on the first floor, this elegant Georgian styled dining room has superb views over to distant Schiehallion. Drinks receptions and wedding ceremonies are held here for guests numbering up to 140. It is available from April 1 to October 31, after 6 pm.

Ballroom: Situated on the ground floor, built by the 7th Duke of Atholl, the Ballroom continues to host gatherings of up to 220 for ceremonies, dining and dancing in a truly Scottish ambience. The Ballroom has excellent acoustics, stage, a fine dance floor and an atmospheric lighting system. It is available throughout the year for ceremonies from 10 am onwards.

Banvie Hall: Adjoining the Ballroom, and accessible via a secret door, the Banvie Hall can host a wedding ceremony, reception or provide an extension to a ballroom event with bar and sit-out facilities. Its glass wall frontage provides a fine view of the magnificent grounds and surrounding hills. It is available from April 1 to October 31, from 6 pm onwards.
